last night Team USA’s
women’s track team, Allyson Felix,
Tianna Madison, Bianca Knight and
Carmelita Jeterwon the women’s 4x100
meter relay, not only winning the Gold Medal
but setting a new world record of 40.82 seconds,
which is the first 4x100 relay race in history under
41 secs, breaking the record set in ‘85 by East Germany…

Allyson Felix, a two-time Olympic runner-up in the 200 meters, finally claimed gold. The Southern California native finished her specialty race in 21.88 seconds Wednesday night, while Jamaica’s Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce took the silver and Carmelita Jeter of the U.S. claimed the bronze.
