New Orleans Saints….Your NFC CHAMPIONS?!
It’s hard to believe the New Orleans Saints are going to the Super Bowl, after defeating a tough Brett Favre-led Minnesota Vikings team that looked poised to return to the promise land for the first time since 1976. Instead, it’s the Saints who defeated the Vikings 31-28 in overtime via Garrett Hartley field goal. Let’s just say Mr. Hartley may have more lady friends than Tiger Woods this week.
Oh, the Indianapolis Colts defeated a valiant New York Jets team on Sunday 30-17, to become AFC Champions once again. They went all the way in 2006 and have a great chance of doing the same this postseason. But right now, we’ll honor the City of New Orleans. After all the heartbreak and drama, the Saints are finally going to the Super Bowl. Decades of mediocrity be damned…
Who Dat Saints? They ain’t your grandmama’s Saints, I’ll tell you that much. God bless New Orleans.
You guys deserve this. Sean Payton, Drew Brees, and the rest of the New Orleans Saints… Congratulations.
